![]() ![]() This could've of been a great series if it was given a chance, a giant missed opportunity. My only regret watching this film is knowing that there are no more films in the series. I will revisit Waynes World 2 which died a similar death and came out around the same time. In a world where comic books movies recycle plots and villains, it's interesting to see films that had oddball characters and inventive characters. This film should of been the stepping stone for at two more sequels and I think fans needed to show up in bigger support. Looking back it is still a superior film, the humour is right on target and the plot has improved so much, the first film had a weak premise with superb casting. The film failed terribly at the box office, essentially killing the franchise dead in its tracks, I couldn't understand the reason for ignoring this film. The first film had a muddled story but it created the groundwork for the family dynamic, which is the heart and soul of the film series. Plus: buying VHS tapes at McDonald's, evaluating IMDb photos, catching up with a cartoon classic, and sending some love to a Best Supporting Kitty.I remember watching this movie at the cinemas and remembering how much better than the original film it was. We discuss some of Debbie's best moments, how well she'd fit in with the Addams, and just how awful that song is over the end credits. ![]() To say nothing of Christina Ricci's wise and wicked Wednesday, Christopher Lloyd at a 27 as Fester, and Christine Baranski, period. ![]() Things go from bad to worse when the new 'black widow' nanny, Debbie Jellinsky, launches her plan to add Fester to her collection of dead husbands. "Addams Family Values" has a packed cast, from the subtly shady Anjelica Huston to the Shakespearean heights of Raul Julia and Carol Kane as a goolish Granny, but the true BSA of the movie is Joan Cusack as the graceful, delicate, and homicidal Debbie Jellinsky. Siblings Wednesday and Pugsley Addams will stop at nothing to get rid of Pubert, the new baby boy adored by parents Gomez and Morticia. ![]()
