Another tool is needed to automatically install and remove mods there are several options out there, but Mod Organizer 2 is generally agreed upon as being the best. It should not be necessary to manually download and install mods in 2022, for any game with serious mod support that is.Īutomation is a bit more limited with Nexus Mods, but still present. r2modman is the same way, which connects to Thunderstore.io. Workshop mods are updated automatically on their own through Steam. Select unsubscribe and it automatically uninstalls. Select subscribe and the mod automatically installs. Thanks so much for the suggestion, game runs now.Steam Workshop is all very automated. Turns out I had face to face convo for Skyrim installed in SE for some reason. I've seen it happen a few times so quickly that the screen never even went black from MO, so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility. My guess right now is an SKSE install problem, but there is also a feel of a possible missing master mod as well if the game is dropping before hitting the menu. If it doesn't, figure out which of the ones you turned on is causing the problem and replace/repair/edit it as needed to get it working. If it works, great - add one or two more in and repeat. Those instructions can be seen in the main build guide for STEP 2.10.0 (though it uses MO1 in that guide, the instructions are identical).Ģ) Activate one or two mods at a time, and start though MO2/ SKSE. If this works, go to 2, otherwise, verify that SKSE is properly installed. Sounds like something related to those mods then, if SKSE ran the game fine without any installed.ġ) Deactivate all mods in MO2.
